About Performing at The Black Bee

At The Black Bee, we love music! In order to make the experience of playing at the venue the best experience possible for customers, performers and staff, there are some best practices and things to know:

• Payment is made via bank transfer. Please provide your invoice to the staff on the night or email to hello@theblackbee.com.au after your performance for payment

• We’re a small but mighty little venue and as a wine bar the benchmark for audio levels to avoid customers having to lean in to talk or yell over the music to chat to people next to them. Later in the night or in a last set there could be scope to up the volume, but our #1 priority is to keep customers in the bar and keep them happy.

• Stage size is 5m x 4m so keep it tight and minimal! The bar is full of hard, reflective asurfaces to low volume carries - small PAs and speakers are the go!

• No PA is provided

• Typical set times are from 8pm, consisting of 3 x 45m sets, unless otherwise agreed.

• We’re open from 5pm so load-in is available once we’re open. Please avoid loading in before we’re open.
